Celebrate Female Athletes: USA Triathlon Women’s Series
The USA Triathlon Women’s Triathlon Series is dedicated to celebrating and engaging female athletes of all abilities in the multisport community. The series highlights prominent women’s events, including the Title 9 Women’s Triathlon in Hopkinton, Massachusetts on September 10th and the Mooloolaba Triathlon in Australia, which features an “Open Standard Women’s Race”.
Recently, athletes from across the nation competed in indoor triathlons held at the Y. The individual triathlon results show that Scott Layton, 40, from Rockport, took first place with a total time of 1:02:29.6. Other notable athletes who placed in the top 10 included Kyle Wood, 16, from Lincolnville, and Revas Boukia, 29, from Bangor. The team triathlon results show that Simon Pratico, 16, from Falmouth, came in first with a total time of 1:10:00.4.
In addition to the races, USA Triathlon offers training camps to help athletes improve their performance. Participants can choose from full distance, middle distance, and sprint camps.
